Dean Koontz - The Face Synopsis: Dean Koontz combines the supernatural with the real in this book to an almost perfect mix. The main characters are so easy to relate to - particularly the 10-year-old boy, Fric. He was my favorite simply because he wasn't some kind of genius kid or extraordinarly mature for his age. He did stupid things, got scared, told lies (badly), and felt real emotions. Basically, he was great. The book was somewhat terrifying at times; particularly when a man starts coming out of mirrors. It was scary, and I loved it. The antagonist is totally two dimensional; all bad, no good - just like all of Koontz's antagonists. While some authors simply can't pull this off, Dean Koontz certainly can. You love to hate his bad guys. You want to know what made them the way they are, and you don't want to pity them. Love it! So - buy the book. It was truly quite good.
